TMS Therapy

Depression medications not working?

TMS Therapy is a non-drug, non-invasive treatment option for patients who have not fully responded to anti-depressant medications. TMS is also used for OCD, anxiety, and other mental health disorders.

San Jose Integrative Wellness Center specializes in TMS therapy and provides two TMS treatment modalities: NeuroStar TMS and MagVenture TMS.

In addition to the following information, we have videos you can watch to learn more about TMS therapy available at San Jose Integrative Wellness Center.

About TMS Therapy

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is used to target key areas of the brain that are underactive in people with depression.

During a treatment session, a magnet similar in strength to that used in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine is used to stimulate nerve cells in the area of the brain thought to control mood. These magnetic pulses may have a positive effect on the brains neurotransmitter levels, making long term remission possible.

Treatment with TMS is easy:

  • Treatment sessions are completed in our office.

  • You are awake during the entire during treatment

  • You can resume normal activities right away
